The AI NPC product (FiveM servers) is not billed in credits. It has its own currency: turns. Everything else on this page exists so your NPCs never stop talking mid-session.

What a turn is

One delivered NPC reply is one turn. If players heard it, it counts — a reply to something a player said, a spoken reaction to a world event, or a reply that was interrupted but had an audible start. One reply to a whole group is still one turn. What is free: interjections (the short quips an NPC drops while someone else is talking), replies that were never delivered, players talking to NPCs (listening costs nothing), and world generation — creating worlds, groups and personas, editing them, and the background world simulation are all unmetered.

Plans — both start free

Every account starts with a free trial week, whichever plan you pick: choose a plan, add your card, and pay $0 today. You get 1,000 trial turns that last one week, and your plan’s first charge happens after 7 days — or the moment the trial turns run out, whichever comes first. From then on it’s a normal monthly plan. One trial per account, ever: cancel during the trial and you pay nothing (any unused trial turns still expire at the end of the trial week), but subscribing again later starts — and bills — the plan immediately. Turns from every paid grant accumulate: a renewal adds the month’s turns on top of what you still have.

Auto-purchase

Auto-purchase is on by default once a card is on file, because a busy server that runs dry mid-evening is worse than a charge you expected:
  • Run out of trial turns → your trial ends and your chosen plan starts (that’s the trial’s deal, and it happens whether or not auto-purchase is on).
  • Run out on the 79planyourechargedthe79 plan → you're charged the 40 difference, granted the 25,000-turn difference, and moved to the 119plan(therenewaldatedoesntmove;thenextrenewalbills119 plan (the renewal date doesn't move; the next renewal bills 119).
  • Run out on the 119planaonetime119 plan → a one-time 50 top-up pack of 33,300 turns is charged (never a second subscription), at most three times per cycle.
You can turn auto-purchase off in the console (“auto-purchase for constant uptime”). With it off, your plan just renews monthly, and when the turns run out your NPCs will go quiet until you buy more (once muting goes live — see below).

Expiry and downgrades

Paid turns never expire at a renewal — every paid grant lives for a full year from the day it landed, including auto-purchased ones. The one exception is the 1,000-turn trial lot, which expires with the trial week. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle; what’s paid is paid and is not refunded. Cancelling stops the renewals, and every paid turn you already have keeps its year.

When the balance hits zero

Balances are counted and purchases work today, but the automatic muting described here is not yet enforced — an exhausted balance doesn’t silence anyone yet. We’ll enable it with notice, so nothing changes under your servers unannounced.
With auto-purchase off (or a card that declines), an exhausted balance will mute your servers’ NPCs: they stay in the world, keep hearing and remembering, but stop speaking until turns arrive. The console’s AI NPC page shows your live balance and warns before you get there.
